Assistant Grower Position
Emerald Coast Growers is looking for an assistant grower to join the team at our Milton Florida location. This individual will be involved in all aspects of ornamental grass liner production from propagation to picking. This hands-on position entails producing over four million liners annually
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production and care of over 40 types of ornamental grass liners.
- Assist in the picking and preparation of material for shipping.
Qualified applicant should have:
- 2 year degree in horticulture related field or equivalent work experience
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Valid drivers license
Preferred skills:
- Bilingual, ability to communicate in Spanish
- Experience supervising work crews
- Experience applying pesticides
- Knowledge of PGR’s and pest management strategies
- Greenhouse maintenance and irrigation knowledge
- Equipment operator (Skid Loader, Tractor)
