Earlier this year we added a new ornamental grass,
Carex morrowii 'Ice Ballet' (PP#20228), said to be an improved sport of
'Ice Dance'. At first we couldn't see it: In early production, they just didn't look very different. That was then. This is now. A single growing season wrought a remarkable ...change. In our PA greenhouses, they're growing side by side. As advertised, 'Ice Ballet' is much more brightly variegated. So far, it's also more vigorous and more uniform. There's dance... and then there's ballet.
